#husk pattern responses 1

So i realized I was losing quite a bit of time to the pair of husks at the end of the last fb skip room and labbed the best way to deal with them. First, it's important to note that they have a fixed spawn position and they only pick a direction and start moving once you get close enough to them. The right one (Husk Bully) starts moving roughly while you are casting your 2nd fb, and the left one (Wandering Husk) once you're a bit past the fb skip (this efectively means that, if you miss the fb skip, only the Husk Bully will have started moving early).

The husks can also do random delays, so apart from the 4 main patterns (LL, LR, RL and RR) you'll still need to adapt a little bit to what they do. The clips show how to optimally respond to each pattern in that order, but here are some extra notes:

  • If the Wandering Husk goes left, its pretty important to recognize if you'll fit in between him and the lowest part of the ceiling (i also put an image of what hitboxes look like) by just pogoing over him. If you don't think thats the case, you'll need to do a left slash before the pogo (loses about 0.25)(1st clip), sometimes you can get unlucky enough to the point that you'll need to kill him or dmg tank to the left on the previous husk if you recognize it quickly enough.

  • For the RL pattern (3rd clip) the idea with the movement is to barely squeeze past the lowest part of the arch and both husks. You can sometimes get a little stuck on the arch and that's still a lot better than dmg tanking.
