Dashless Lace Lever

ooh waow multiple approaches to this one

This is a skip for low% to get to lace lever without anything and no deaths in the process
I decided to show three different ways of doing this with the last two clips being slight timing difference between a method

for the first method, the coyote jump, you need to jump roughly on the first frame of the coyote jump
then start a heal right before the peak of the jump, then pogo roughly 0.3s after the heal explosion starts

for the second method you will want to jump into a mantle and let go of jump before grabbing mantle
hold jump and right after grabbing ledge and start heal right before peak of jump, then pogo roughly 0.3s after the heal explosion starts

for the last method get a corner correct, walk off the ledge for a frame by pressing menu after moving a tiny bit, then buffer left with menu
hold jump and right after grabbing ledge and start heal right before peak of jump, then pogo roughly 0.3s after the heal explosion starts

if i missed anything or didn't explain something well ask in a thread and ill try to explain how I think it works

AtlasOfSouls

Hitting Lace in the air can trick her into diving into the lava, giving you a dunk without needing to stagger her. This also makes it possible to do 3 dunks instead of 2 (I can't really tell if it's faster or not), and it also makes 2 dunks more consistent, since you don't have to worry about waiting for Lace to be near the edge for a stagger. The best place to do it seems to be the opener, where it's easy to set up if Lace picks the jump as her first move, but it is possible later in the fight as well.

Kartoffelsalat

when you stagger lace in the lava, you can also hit her before she dunks

Megamin (#1 Mist Hater)

Lace 1's parry only activates if you hit her from the direction she's facing.
Does not work against Phantom or Lace 2

In later patches, she will continue to parry you while attacking if you slash too close to her (same with Lace 2)

  1. Pogo dash turn around nail tech
  2. Lace not parrying when hit from behind
  3. Lace will parry hits if the nail's orange hitbox overlaps with the attack
  4. Lace not parrying
  5. Pogos don't get parried either

if you use dash attack for your 11th hits (i.e. the hit you stagger) you can instapear without lace getting back up

dashattack -> spear is very nice when lace is near the edge, esp right at the beginning because you can get a spear cancel off the wall

some stuff for this fight, knocking her in the lava is clearly optimal (it does 40 damage) and you should try to keep her in the corner when she's close to staggering, taking damage for this is definitely worth it. You can spear her as she returns from the lava.

for the circle attack, you can spear her while she is doing the nails in the air and then nail as she lands, the spear positioning seems pretty lenient for this

starting the fight with a spear seems good, try to not overflow on silk, so spear her a lot.

in my testing going for the wallcling skip was too inconsistent and hard to react to to be worth going for, this strat doesn't go for it and still saves 0.3s over any% WR which gets the wallcling skip thanks to the epic dive dash movement
