#bell beast 7

The taunting before your next attack gives a 50% damage increase rounded up. Because of this, we can use the taunt to remove one needle hit from the BB 3 cycle. However because of some bugs, only pogo will get buffed on the Bell Beast and only if the pogo doesn't get too close to the ground. It's hard to say how high you need to be up, but the general guideline is that if you don't touch the ground with the tip of your pogo, you should be good.

The first 2 clips are of the opener.
Clip 1: the 1 silk opener. This is easier than the alternative and should be used if you can
Clip 2: no silk opener. A bit tight, but consistent. the taunt itself hits the Bell Beast (2 damage)

EDIT: Just to clarify, clip 2 does not get a taunt buff, the taunt itself does 2 damage, which, when added to the later taunt buff still makes up for 1 needle. Clip 1 does 28 damage and clip 2 does 27 damage

The third clip is the finisher you get to do if everything goes perfectly

The rest are just different ways you could try finishing if you need extra hits, they're all reletively difficult, and in some cases it might just be easier to finish with a normal 4 hits

Silkless Bell Beast 5n starts
dash dash jump: 5n 5s s5s 3s
dash jump dash: 5n 6s s4s 3s
dash jump jump: 5n 6s s5s 2s
If you miss a nail, you can 4s on scream

Finally burying bell beast math for good (pretty please no one else find something new) The first set of tables show every single attack pattern BB can have, and how you should respond - Assuming you enter the arena with 8-9 silk (with possibilities for a 7 silk entry)
The second table is a set of much much more difficult attacks (or just some attacks that are slower :P) - however each of them can actually enter BB's arena with only 4 silk, not get the refund, start the fight at 0 silk, and still get the phase change in time!
Big thank to @Rose @Yurong01 @quasi_semi_group @Megamin (#1 Mist Hater) for mathing the math, and labbing this i just made it pretty lmao

A faster and probably easier Bell Beast kill which exploits her inability to do bell burst above 120 hp. Open with 4 needles then follow with a spear 4 needles and another spear to bring her to 80 hp. You can enter on 8 silk but if you don't get a refund on the first spear you need an extra hit in the finisher. If she does any bells after the second attack just wait them out.

Stratus (he/him)

Alternate setup for starting this last set of nails on Bell Beast. Jump as soon as the particles appear, then nail as soon as you land.

consistent silk collection strategies before bell beast bc the fly variance was annoying me.
in the 3 hit variation, its SUPER important to delay the 2nd needle hit and hug the wall on the way down (ie dont spam on cd) because the fly will pause for its attack animation, and hitting during that wont make you have to backtrack into the room and lose 0.5-1.0s. optimally, 3hit loses 0.8s vs 1hit, and 0.6s to 2hit. in my timing it was always faster to go above than below, even if you wanted no silk. 0hits to save at max 0.2 and usually only 0.1 isnt worth even if not going for bb skip

Fixed and improved version of the bell beast phase skip/quick kill. Credit to Vex for the opener.
this saves about 10s with best rng, compared to best rng without phase skip. It saves a bit less with worse rng (because you have to avoid hitting a bunch for bad rng patterns). Still worth going for, as the worst rng with this only loses 2s to the best possible without phase skipping.
First 3 videos are example fights with different rngs, showing how to deal with charge/leap on 80 hp and showing that even if you miss a hit somewhere you can still barely get the quick kill by squeezing in 4 needle hits + silk spear on the scream (you must do a nail turnaround to get this).
Last video is a voiceover that explains all the strats and cues in detail
Forgot to mention in vid, but bell beast can do max 2 bell bursts in a row, and seems to be 3 in a row for charge/leap (it counts both so it could be charge charge leap)
I deleted the old bell beast post since this is just better.

Edit: video was wrong about silk amount in the video, you need 8 silk going in, which means 3 hits between the web in the silk spear room and starting bell beast
