#strats

Consistent leftside, first saw Xena do it. Have to be fast and stay low to not agro the flying guy, and you have to react to how fast he spawns. If he's slow you have to backstep, if fast then nodelays. 1st vid is fast spawn, 2nd is slow, and 3rd is Ivy's variation where you jump a bit earlier before the 3rd nail, which helps deal with fast spawns a bit but it's not really mandatory. Should save like 0.6ish on best rng.

Doing a dash repress at the start allows you to be much faster - you do it by letting go of dash once you're in the load and repressing dash when you see the load has finished. You can do a few things, I'll show a couple examples here.

Clip 1: This is the best way to make the cycle for bad loads, but only do if you cannot make it otherwise, since you can easily dunk with decent loads. Dash repress -> pogo dash -> jump or frontflip, depending on which you need to be faster. The pogo dash has to be delayed a bit but then jump immediately.

If you do not need that strat, then I recommend doing a frontflip strat. The sequence is dash repress -> frontflip -> whatever movement option you want, out of pogo dash, a normal jump dash, a dash repress, or another front flip. My personal favorite and consistently fastest option out of these has been dash represses.
Clip 2: Dash -> Frontflip -> Dash
Clip 3: Dash -> Frontflip -> Pogo dash
Clip 4: Jumpdashes and frontflipping

These are both viable alternate strats to the double pogo variation, 2 pogos with no jump dash are slower than both of these ideally. 2nd clip is about 1 frame slower than jumpdash pogodash pogodash, and 1st clip is optimally 1 frame faster

This cycle can be basically (if not entirely) impossible depending on your loads. My PC is pretty good but the steam appears to come out a few frames faster than other peoples' and makes me have to be basically perfect to make it. In the 1st clip, I get hit at 1.28, which just isn't real, I've seen people get hit at like 1.37
2nd example shows one way to get around this, which is by adding an extra dash. It is slightly faster, which allows me to make the cycle, but if your loads are slower than mine, then the cycle will not be possible for you. Luckily, the slower your loads are, the faster the steam goes away, so the less time you lose.
Overall, 0 cycle saves about 1.2s, so don't be too pressured to make it, but if your pc is fast or you use vsync, it shouldn't be too bad.

damage tank strat on wave 2 saves 0.7s on the next fastest thing i saw (in key route comsob), however it might be more like a second because i am not sure the key comsob strat is consistent

the last slash looks hard but the timing is actually pretty easy

i tried for a while to make this work without the tank but it wasn't working, maybe someone else can figure out something

fyi this steam 0 cycle is super easy, you legit just need to do 2 dive dashes like i do in this video and then run through, the steam for some reason is fake and just doesnt do damage (similar to how you can run through organ cycles without taking damage after a certain point)

I combined all the different strats I've seen into this
Wave 1: https://discord.com/channels/772964112908156938/1365521515356885032/1431415372942413940
Wave 2: seeing yujene do it in runs
Wave 3: https://discord.com/channels/772964112908156938/1365521515356885032/1431102130906861589
Wave 4: https://discord.com/channels/772964112908156938/1365521515356885032/1431102130906861589
you can do the above instead but if you do it like I did the nail swing after dash attacking the left enemy is nice because it can avoid running into the enemy and potentially hit the bell thrower
uh, except last bell thrower, you can spear it if you want, I just like killing the last guy like this

mr craw skip (namlaE)

easy and consistent way to hit all 3 enemies in wave 1 with silk spear and kill them

you can also pogo through the flying enemy to be faster but nail and jump over is significantly easier. last pogo through the big guy is vital otherwise the flying one will be too high. go for nail turnaround here or you will not have a fun time like 0.5% of the time

[EJEM] Intramint

Strats for waves 1-4 of the arena. This is 6,5-8 sec faster than WR and 3,5-5 sec faster than comsob. Times below are compared to WR or comsob - whichever was faster.

Wave 1: faster than wr by 2 sec.

  • sometimes the middle guy doesn't get to attack (like in the 2nd video) which means you don't have to wait for them to line up, which saves time

Wave 2: Pretty much the same time, so choose whichever one you like. I like this because the movement and the last spear are satisfying

  • sometimes you need to do a little hop on the last needle hit

Wave 3: faster than comsob by 1 sec

  • stay exactly in the middle and wait a little before you jump to make the reed follow you
  • can get a little inconsistent if spawns are desynced too much, which can make you miss one of them
  • you can trade a bit of time for safety if you don't want to do the last turnaround

Wave 4: faster than comsob by 2 sec

  • the upslash before the spear won't always hit the bell thrower (like in the 3rd video)
  • but it makes you turn around faster, so do it anyway
  • alternatively, if you know it won't hit, you can instead needle right to hit the guy you pogo through, to get 1 more silk
  • you can omit the last spear if you want to save silk for the spider

Another iteration on this arena, I copied a lot of what nebula did in the 54:50 run
Wave 3 may need some improv and last bell thrower can be annoying, otherwise this is pretty consistent

Also small detail I didn't notice until practicing is you can tell where the last enemy spawns in the middle by their position in the background

Not the perfect execution but here are some strats for the library arena starting with no silk :

The idea is to intentionally miss the last enemy with the spear on wave 1 or 2 to get enough silk to double spear on wave 3. The goal is to have at least every wave 3 enemy at 1 hp (2 spears for the needle one and 1 for the others). In the video, I somehow missed the first spear on the needle guy but the idea is here.

Moreover, on wave 1, I sometimes manage to hit both bugs with the 4th attack so I don't need the extra attack on the flying one.
I also found wave 4 and 5 kind of cool, hope it can help.

less awkward movement for this block

library arena in 37s, pretty consistent
saves about 15s on current wr

Stratus (he/him)

Best strats I could find for this arena so far. Not really sure if there's a consistent way to do the 3rd/4th waves, but this should be a good place to start.

Stratus (he/him)

Nice slash setup to get this cycle more consistently.

Wait until the steam disappears from the bottom of the leftmost vent, slash twice, buffer dash, then jump+dash asap.

Skip the whispering vaults gauntlet utilizing silkspear storage. saves ~1 minute off of nmg any% route, but could be lowered a few extra seconds with optimal movement, cycles, and zero cycle storage. ...also most likely considered too major for nmg.

Update to this cycle, the new pogo dash sprint stuff makes it a lot more lenient, think it's very worth to learn for runs

steam skip or 0 cycle

credit to magma on the inspo for this one, this cycle is sick. at the very least you should learn the 1st one, a little risky going for the rest of it, but very fast
