new rta nail turnaround, make sure to jump before slashing to not lose wcs, and this also works better with a smaller jump compared to no turnaround slash

ceiling boost while setting up blue lake wcs. saves .1 to .15ish over no boost. need to drift out to the right before dashing to get the boost, can't get it (from my testing) while neutral falling

Easy dash only set up to avoid soul collection time https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/523899469960445962/1035249562597724190/2022-10-27_13-47-48_Trim.mp4
Vsync highly recommended but not needed

slowed down clip of 1 slash with hitboxes and input display. should make it a bit easier to follow

Something I just learned about 1 slash setup. You actually have to intentionally dash lower than the top of the slope. (I was under the impression dashing below the wall is good enough) but if you dash too high (EVEN if you make it under the wall) your downward momentum corrects you around the spot.

I couldn't find an example in here for this shade skip, so here're two examples I got; one with good rng, and another with a shade fireball and recovery timing.

For the backup start jumping again as soon as the fireball passes over you. If the fireball passes higher above you, you can start jumping earlier so that you still rise up about equally behind it with your jump as I did here.

Buffer every jump, or else you're playing a game of luck with whether you align with the shade's up/down dipping to get enough height. if you read it well you can probably save some missed jumps and adapt with double fb, and just skip the firebell at rg stag (for AWR).

note: I am not good at this shade skip, so if you have issues with these setups you can share clips of attempts etc and ask for help/guidance in #hk-nmg-discussion or any similar channel

apologies for repeat posting, but you can actually avoid the chain if you do the wcs where you hold both directions at once (you actually dont need that type of wcs to make it, but its much harder without it) [i misunderstood how the wcs with both directions worked, it was just placebo. still recommended tho since its faster]. this is easier than the chain imo and looks like it saves another 0.2

another bl wcs. saves at least 0.8 over the 2 slash method, but needs to be chained to get into the water, making it much harder to do consistently.

easier variant on the TE shade skip, based on how I do it with a dash into the shade instead of drifting onto it

shown here is a setup where you don't need to drift at all to get the damage boost, instead you dash into it, this allows you to just hold down for the most of the trick and do the pogo and fireballs until you turnaround and dash to the ledge,
one thing to note is that you'll need to make sure you're facing to the left at the beginning of when you jump to get it to work instead of it not mattering like with the regular setup

if you're used to the regular setup, the timing might feel a little bit off, i line up the shade and myself with the background then dash at the apex of my jump

Making blue lake fun, but in reverse. Setup is pretty easy to do with some practice. Saves a little over 3s and probably closer to 2 - 2.5 if you take a little longer to get the setup correctly. Max timesave I got was 3.3s
