Improvement on this drop found by Marcus, clinging to the platform sets your position up perfectly and goes about even.

Better Voidheart abyss drop, saves 0.3-0.4.
The first inv drop I use the platform on the right of the first image as a cue. The position in the first image is the farthest right you can go without landing on the creeper, 2nd image is the farthest left you can be without landing on a platform on the way.
During the first inv I use the spike platform on the left (image 3) leaving my screen as a cue to close the inv drop (It's easy for me to see during the inv drop while playing).
After that you just gotta dash and go left a tiny bit so you pass the shadow creeper.
The first inv drop is slightly hard, but apart from that it's really easy to greed this one.

*also i found out that if you jump on the first possible frame after the cdash and get an airwalk, your jump will be lower because the part of the jump where your speed is constant is exactly 1f shorter, and that causes it to be impossible to get the jump unless you do a 0f frame repress, and in that case you only have a 1f window to do it and not get an airwalk jump and its 1f after the apex of your jump, using the definition fo the apex above

**putting this here bc i ran out of characters in the post above but this pretty much applies to the last 2f on each extreme of the frame windows so its more like 4f shorter in practice

ok i cooked cursed jump and heres the result on how long of a frame window you can do the wings based on how short of a repress you do:
0f repress: 10f;
1f repress: 9f;
2f repress: 6f;
3f repress: 4f;

4f repress: impossible;
this is all assuming you didnt get an airwalk after the cdash*
as a refence for the cue, the last possible frame of the wings input is the same for all of them and is exactly 3-4f after the apex of the jump depending on how you define the apex, i define it as the last frame where the speed is positive so 4f, the frame window to wj after depends both on the repress and when you pressed wings so i cant think of a rule to figure it out(not that it really matters too much), generally you want to avoid the extremes of the frame windows and you want to avoid 2-3f represses cause those made it really hard to get the wj in TAS(i had to change where i turned around to make sure i didnt lose too much height cause of out tight it got), i think that if you get a 3f repress its pretty much impossible to get the wj with any amount of consistency, and with a 2f you probably only have a 1-2f** window where its reasonable, tho these are just guesses cause i didnt lab too much the insides of the frame windows

translating all of this into something useful inputs-wise, you want to press wings at the apex of your jump but later is better than early, tho you dont wanna be too far off on either direction, and you want a near perfect repress otherwise its very hard to get the wj afterwards, from experience doing a ninsta as the wj didnt significantly impact the difficulty of the trick

reminder that a 0 frame repress is when there are no physics frames where the game register no press, but you still unpressed during a graphics frame so it will register a repress, its basically the faster repress possible in the game and for humans its effectively impossible to get it 100% of the time because we cant see when a physics frame starts

Even faster abyss drop using the door wcs, saves 0.4 to Stratus' version.
You need to upslash just before moving left, since you still have wcs and will just grab the wall again otherwise.

Visual cues:

  1. go neutral out of the wcs when you're approximately at the center height to the right of the platform with the geo rock on it
  2. Inv drop within this area below the platform, it's a fairly tight window, about 3-4 frames
  3. close inv once the tall platform on the right side of the image is gone from your screen

Slightly faster abyss drop (~0.4) that better utilizes the wallcling storage we get off the door.

Here are my visual cues:

  1. Open inventory when you get to the longest background object.
  2. Close inventory when you pass the ceiling of this platform.
  3. Open inventory below this platform. Anywhere in the green box will allow you to inventory drop all the way down.
  4. Close inventory for the last time once you see this spiked platform leave your screen.

just cdash into the next room and do a faster strat i think this saves around .5 but it 100% does save time

easy setup for early birthplace drop to keep your hazard respawn at lifeblood core (speed is mostly irrelevant)

Optimal abyss climb strats for Ghostbusters and Markoth%. One little mistake where the shadow creeper hits me but the rest shows what you want to be going for well. The biggest thing is the double spike pogo to skip going through the large platform and beating the shadow creeper cycle at about 23s on the timer.

played around with jen's early birthplace/voidheart unlock drop, and found cues for it.
1: as long as you are further right than this position for the drop you'll be safe from any spikes.
2: the yellow box below the knight is the entrance trigger, so you can simply walk off -> drop a bit -> dash -> wings in to the spikes
(also there is zero practical reason to cut it that close even, but its still nice to know when youve gone too far)

Second cyclone is under the right corner of the platform you're releasing it under. If you're very fast with your cyclones, delay going left before the ddark a little bit, to avoid hitting them. Saves 1.15s optimally

go right to dodge the hazard respawn below, then a bit back to not hit a hazard respawn to the right. Really lenient, you can take your time to be sure to dodge everything. My visual cue is lining up with the biggest vine on the first bit drop, hardfall on the platform, then just drop off to the left slightly - if you want you can wings to airstall and make sure you're lined up properly to be 200% sure you're not hitting anything on the way down.

Saves a spell (2 if you kill the crawler with shriek) over the other early birthplace strat

Better drop for latest patch all skills. saves .8s on previous single dive strat. Not too tight of a timing, savable if you miss the small platform by winging.
