#strats

#elegy% 14

two setups for the cdash hopper cycle with dashmaster, saves 0.4 and 0.2 to dmless cdash cycle

with the first strat, you have to delay one of the two final dashes or the final cdash, the more delayed the safer

delaying the dash after the object pogo goes even/-0.1 with the current strat but is fully consistent and saves 0.5 with bad crawlid rng

When doing reverse waterways for meemee grub, you can walljump of this corner with wings and pogo one of the Flukefeys, avoiding all the annoyance and its pretty fast and consistent too. (In hindsight I realized that Nebby also does this in his Elegy run because Nebby is just the goat, also sorry no audio idk what happened there :grubthink:)

By clinging to and unclinging from the left wall in the previous room, you can dash left once and then dash right to your heart's content with wall cling storage.

Without dashmaster:

  • If the glimback is on the right, wall jump over it midair and continue as normal to save around 0.4
  • If the glimback is on left, you can either do the same thing or go for the chain and do the sequence in the first video to save 1.1

With dashmaster:

  • If the glimback is on the right, do the sequence shown in the second video - delaying the dash after the glimback pogo helps make the rest more lenient but make sure not to touch the ceiling
  • If the glimback is on the left, do the sequence shown in the third video - the background object on the left is pogoable but the right one isn't so dash quickly after pogoing the glimback to line yourself up
  • For both patterns you save around a second, and if you lose too much height and have to midair wall jump you barely lose anything to a perfect room.
  • Theoretically you could probably save more time by chaining and keep wcs through the entire horizontal section of the room but it's pretty hard because you can graze the wall

Super useful visual cue/alignment for this no-shade cloak version of collector scream skip. Line up the knight's right horn with the handle on the 2nd jar (doesn't have to be exact.)
Important note for this setup is that your initial dash has to be neutral, and only input right after the dash starts. 2nd dash is slightly delayed and you can't be too low or too high.

Cool damage tank and pogo to deal with bad spider rng for this grub. If the spider isnt that far right but still in the way, you can also dash first before the damage tank. 2nd clip for reference on what good rng looks like. Other categories might apply?

More consistent and less annoying way to do Fog Canyon acid skip with grub save. May apply to more categories idk

Forward slashing the aspid mother then cdashing on the wall puts her in a better spot later than up slashing does (on average). Loses .1 or less but makes it easier on the return.

1st/2nd clip shows new strat, 3rd/4th show upslash. Even with slower movement she is more likely to be in a comfortable spot for the acid skip.

Fast way to do elegy city arena (especially wave 2), slashing the flying guy right. 0 soul entering
equipment is only spell twister and ddark, kinda unique so unsure if known. if any other categories only get that then it applies there too

Consistent set up for wings grub that requires a hazard dmg tank. It is really consistent and easy, you have to jump and slash without touching the slope, jump again and fb at the peak of your jump (later than you think)(3rd clip [full movement to the grub]).

If you touch the slope on the way up the first time, you will be more to the right and the fb will slope but you wont have time to pogo it (1st clip). If you fb to early (or too late technically, but thats more rare) after the second jump, the fb wont slope (2nd clip). If you mess up one of the object pogos you can back them up (4th clip). If you miss the skip, you have to dmg tank again. (Be careful with not falling too much or your hazard respawn position will change and you will need to climb back up, which is quite tricky and slow)(You can use the crawler to the left to get some soul if you miss a few times).

This is optimal regardless of if you get wings afterwards or if you do wingless route.

You can use 2 flying enemies at the end to make it easier or if you dont have an extra cast/ health.

Final clip is how is looks without hitboxes.

regrabbing the wall allows you to get to the right wall slightly faster, saving optimally .25, on average .15. Room for greeding too much, by grabbing wall too early and dashing in the spikes, but not too hard. Strat seen originally in one of hotaru_st's runs

cdash instead of dashes at the end of the room. Pretty hard, saves .15 max, .1 is more to be expected, messing up is ~.3 timeloss

.2-.3 timesave. Sticky ceiling is precise but not too bad with practice, might be worse in runs.

An alternative method of scream skip that only uses cdash and a walljump. Check this for cues: https://discord.com/channels/772964112908156938/836364889604751450/910120787955052564

Consistent scream skip for elegy% or any other category that has to fight collector without shade cloak but with the dash.
